Paid to action programs and surveys are just some of the online opportunities we use to make a little extra money. Some people claim to make an actual living with these two types of opportunities. We, here at Home Business Moms, merely use them as advertising tools and extra play money. My daughter's gymnastics career is financed by the money I make from these sites.
Below you will find a brief description of paid to action programs and survey opportunities. Definitions of terms used by these programs can be helpful to you as you search for just the right fit for yourself. All sites listed here are used frequently by HBM staff. There are numerous paid to action sites and survey companies, please use caution when dealing with them. Spend money sparingly to avoid losing it in a scam site. We only invest in a site when it has proven its worth to us by taking care of its members by paying when they should and responding to questions asked.
Paid to action programs are, simply, sites that pay you to perform certain tasks. Examples are paid to read, paid to promote, paid to click, surveys and more. We will do our best to explain each one of these programs. We do not participate in every kind of paid to action program, so we will only comment from our own personal experience.
Paid to read programs receive money from advertisers, then ask the members to click and read the ads to receive their portion of the proceeds. Members chose to join these programs through a double optin process. Emails are then sent to the members address or they may be listed directly on the site. Members may choose to cashout their earnings at a predetermined level or spent them buying their own ad spots.
Paid to click programs work the same way as paid to read programs and are usually on the same site. The differences are banners are used instead of text ads and they are only available on the site.
Paid to promote programs work along with paid to read sites. Members advertise the site itself and are paid a percentage of the profits. There are very specific rules regarding how and where you may advertise paid to promote programs. If they are not followed, the members will not be paid.
Survey companies operate differently from paid to read programs by asking members to offer their opinions on different products or services. Again, you must perform a double optin to join a survey company. The company will send an email asking the member to go to a specific questionnaire. The member, then, answers the questions based on their own personal opinion. The questions enable the companies to judge consumer reactions to new or improved changes to a product or service. The company then rewards the members cash or points or prizes for their participation.
